What is the Consortium?
The Global Consortium for eHealth Interoperability enables national governmental agencies, health systems and their stakeholders to leverage emerging interoperability standards and the latest implementation guidance to achieve better, lower-cost health outcomes by decreasing barriers and accelerating the rapid, coordinated, efficient deployment of next-generation, API-based interoperable standards.
- Unique in the healthcare industry, the Consortium convenes stakeholders around the world to share validated, scalable interoperability best practices at the point of care to:
- Support the implementation of safe, usable and effective health data standards
- Accelerate the development and adoption of secure and open standards-based APIs
- Define an on-ramp for exchange via APIs
- Facilitate the establishment of implementation communities around the world
Who do we support?
National government agencies; health systems and their associated clinicians; non-governmental organizations such as standards development organizations; industry and patient-focused, caused-based associations; and market suppliers such as IT software/hardware and medical device developers are welcome to participate in the Consortium.
